Woman of Achievement

December 22, 2020
Lorna Wisham, vice president, Corporate Affairs & Community Involvement, will be among the 2021 Women of Achievement honorees recognized by YWCA Greater Cleveland.
In its 45th year, the YWCA Women of Achievement Award is presented to a select group of northeast Ohio women who have achieved extraordinary accomplishments through career success, community service and dedication to YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. The organization is scheduled to honor eight 2021 recipients during a virtual luncheon event on May 21.
Lorna leads FirstEnergy’s community giving and engagement initiatives, employee volunteerism and community board placements for executives. She also serves as president of the FirstEnergy Foundation, overseeing a $10-million investment portfolio.
“I’m truly honored to accept this award in recognition of all of the great work that FirstEnergy and its employees do to serve our communities – not just in northeast Ohio, but all across our service territory,” Lorna said. “I’m particularly proud to be part of one of the most diverse classes to ever receive the YWCA Women of Achievement Award.”
In addition to serving on several local nonprofit boards, Lorna holds membership and volunteers for women’s organizations such as Delta Sigma Theta and The LINKS Incorporated.
