Welcoming Our New Rotational Engineers
June 23, 2026
We’re excited to share that 21 new Rotational Engineers (ROEs) joined FirstEnergy!
These early-career engineers are based across our service territory, with new team members located in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Their arrival strengthens our ability to continue delivering safe, reliable service to our customers while advancing innovative technologies in an increasingly complex energy landscape.
At FirstEnergy, engineers play a vital role in helping us effectively serve our customers while incorporating advanced technologies that support growing electricity demand.
About the ROE Program
Founded in 2005, the Rotational Engineering (ROE) Program provides a high-quality development experience for early talent engineers. Through diverse rotations, participants gain exposure to multiple areas of the business, building technical expertise and professional skills across a variety of engineering disciplines.
With the addition of this new class, we now have 39 rotational engineers across our system.
Orientation Highlights
The new ROEs participated in an in-person orientation on June 16, which included highlights such as tours of:
- FirstEnergy Headquarters (FEHQ)
- Center for Advanced Engineering & Technology (CAET)
- Akron Control Center (ACC)
These experiences provided valuable insight into our operations, technology and the critical work taking place across the company.
Please join us in welcoming our newest ROEs to the FirstEnergy team and supporting them as they begin their journey!
