The impact of the Sept. 11 events is etched in our minds forever. Thinking back to where you were two decades ago, many employees were in college, elementary school, at work, and for some, witnessing the tragic events unfold in the heart of New York City.

As we mark the 20-year anniversary of 9/11, the FirstEnergy Foundation is making a $20,000 donation to the Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pa., located in our Penelec service area. Together, we reflect and remember the heroes, the victims and a country that came together in the darkest of times. Watch this moving video that captures where we were on that unforgettable day.
