Today is National Lineman Appreciation Day. It’s a time to recognize the nearly 2,500 FirstEnergy line workers who step up to meet whatever challenge comes their way – from responding to a late-night car-pole accident in their community to traveling out-of-state to assist with major storm restoration. In a special video, our line workers reflect on the extraordinary effort required to restore power to Louisiana residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida in September.
