Supporting Our Greatest Asset: Children
March 29, 2018
Society’s greatest asset is our children: they are our future. The FirstEnergy Foundation and FirstEnergy employees enthusiastically provide support to organizations that provide assistance to children throughout our service area. Here are a few examples.
(Above photo) Karen Baxter, manager, External Affairs (l.) presented a $1,000 FirstEnergy Foundation gift to the Palmyra Public Library (Pennsylvania). Accepting the gift are Jennifer Kuzo, director of development, (c.) and Chelsea Weibley, executive director. The funds will support the library’s hands-on science projects for young library members.
Embracing Futures received a $5,393 FirstEnergy Foundation grant that will provide braces for an Akron-area underserved youth. Mark Mroczynski, executive director, Transmission Program and Embracing Futures board member (r.) presented the check to Doug Gormley, Embracing Futures board vice chair.
