Met-Ed presented the President’s Safety Excellence Award to employees at the Hamburg Service Center. They celebrated five years without an OSHA-recordable incident at a lunch event.

“Working five years without a serious injury is a significant accomplishment. I appreciate and respect this demonstration of their strong safety culture,” said Ed Shuttleworth, who served as Met-Ed regional president before becoming Ohio Edison regional president in late April.

Approximately 20 employees work at the Hamburg facility. Bargaining-unit members are represented by International Brotherhood of Electrica Workers (IBEW) Local 777.
