When Potomac Edison employees participated in Maryland’s Washington County United Way of Day of Caring, their efforts were more than appreciated by a local recipient.

A team of 15 volunteers spent Sept. 18 sprucing up the house of a fellow community member by removing shrubs, trimming bushes, fixing windows, power washing and fixing a walkway, cleaning inside, laying mulch and completing small repairs.

When the homeowner arrived at her residence after a weekly doctor’s visit, she was overwhelmed with gratitude by all the work our employees had accomplished.

(L.-r.) Ben Funk, Justin Walter and AJ Pacelli pitched in with mulching work.

Many hands make housework light! Stephanie Hines made a clean sweep of floors inside (l.) while Paul Slusarz took on power washing the walkway.
