Employees at West Penn Power’s St. Marys Service Center were recognized for their safety commitment in the field and on the road. Members of the group received the President’s Safety Excellence Award for achieving one year without an OSHA-recordable incident and more than one year without a controllable motor vehicle accident.

“St. Marys employees earned this award with their focus on safe work practices. Their commitment supports our efforts to reduce exposure to job hazards,” said John Rea, West Penn Power regional president.

Thirty-six employees are based at the St. Marys facility. Bargaining-unit members are represented by the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) Local 102.
