Ohio Edison Regional President Randy Frame presented the President’s Safety Excellence Award to employees in the following work groups:

  • Hartville Service Center – for achieving two years without an OSHA-recordable incident. The facility’s 18 employees also have not recorded a chargeable motor vehicle accident (CMVA) for more than four years. Four Hartville employees were recognized as members of Ohio Edison’s Quarter Century of Safety Club for working 25 years or more without an OSHA recordable (see photo for details).
  • North Street Meter Reading – for surpassing one year without an OSHA recordable. Twenty-four employees report to the North Street Meter Reading location – which has gone more than 9½ years without a CMVA. Ohio Edison also recognized two members of the North Street group as Quarter Century of Safety Club members (see photo caption for more info).

“Members of our Hartville and North Street Meter Reading groups earned these awards with their dedication to safe work practices – in the field and on the road,” Randy says. “It was great getting together to celebrate such outstanding achievements.”
