The following work groups recently achieved safety milestones:

Potomac Edison

• Oakland – Twenty-four employees at the service center celebrated seven years without an OSHA-recordable incident on Oct. 14. Bargaining-unit employees at Potomac Edison are represented by Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) Local 102.

Penelec

• Oil City – The district’s 46 employees achieved one year of OSHA-free work. Bargaining-unit employees at Oil City are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 459.

West Penn Power

The following service center received the President’s Safety Excellence Award:

• Jefferson – Thirty-seven employees were recognized on Oct. 31 for working one year without an OSHA recordable and more than one year without a controllable motor vehicle accident (CMVA). WUA Local 102 represents bargaining-unit employees at West Penn Power.
