​Five meter readers at The Illuminating Company’s (CEI) Solon Service Center were recognized for their safety excellence. They recently surpassed 11 years without an OSHA-recordable incident.

“Our meter readers are in the field serving CEI customers on a daily basis,” said Mark Jones, regional president. “Meeting those challenges for 11 years without recording an OSHA incident is an outstanding achievement that certainly deserves recognition.”

Bargaining-unit employees at CEI are represented by Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) Local 270.
