Employees in the following work groups at JCP&L’s Newton Service Center were recognized for their safety commitment.

• Fourteen Meter Reading employees celebrated 12 years without an OSHA-recordable incident.
• Approximately 20 employees in the Line Department achieved one year OSHA-free.

Alex Patton, vice president, Operations, JCP&L, helped recognize the groups. “Members of the Meter Reading and Line groups at Newton have shown a commitment to their own safety as well as watching out for their coworkers. We’re proud of their accomplishments,” Alex says.

Bargaining-unit employees at JCP&L are represented by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1289.
