Safety Excellence at JCP&L

Employees in the following Operations Support groups at JCP&L recently celebrated extended safety milestones:
- Members of the night shift crew in North New Jersey Fleet Services achieved 19 years without an OSHA-recordable incident. There are approximately 10 employees in the group.
- Day shift crew members in North New Jersey Fleet Services celebrated 17 years without an OSHA recordable. Approximately 15 employees work in the group.
- Meter Readers at the Flemington Service Center achieved 10 years of OSHA-free work. The group consists of approximately 10 employees.
- Utility Construction & Maintenance (Substation) at the Toms River Service Center achieved nine years without an OSHA recordable. There are 13 employees in the group.
“We’re proud of the safety commitment of these groups, which in some cases has continued for well over a decade,” said Pat Mullin, director, Regional Operations Support. Dennis Pavagadhi, director, Operations Support, added: “With their dedication to safety, these employees are showing that our ultimate goal of zero injuries is attainable.”
Bargaining-unit employees at JCP&L are represented by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1289.
