Mon Power presented the President’s Safety Excellence Award to employees at the following sites:

• Mon Power Headquarters – in recognition of six years without an OSHA-recordable incident. There are 56 employees in Operations Services and Operations Support at the Fairmont (W.Va.) facility.
• Weston-Buckhannon Service Center – for achieving one year without an OSHA recordable. Twenty-seven employees are based at the service center. Bargaining-unit employees at Weston-Buckhannon are represented by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 2357.

“Whether in the field or an office setting, we must maintain an awareness of our surroundings in order to avoid the risks that can lead to safety incidents,” said Holly Kauffman, president, West Virginia Operations. “Members of these groups have shown that commitment.”
