Met-Ed employees at the Reading and Gettysburg service centers received the Director’s Safe Driving Excellence Award. The Reading and Gettysburg groups have driven 800,000 miles and 600,000 miles, respectively, without a preventable motor vehicle accident. Approximately 250 Met-Ed employees celebrated these accomplishments at luncheon events.

“I am very proud of the Reading and Gettysburg employees for their achievements,” says Dave Cooper, director, Operations Services. “These employees have worked very hard, staying focused on safe driving, and most important, preventing vehicle-related employee injuries.”

Bargaining-unit employees in Reading and Gettysburg are represented by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 777.
