Richard “Dick” Grigg Jr., former FirstEnergy executive, passed away in late December at the age of 70. He lived near Milwaukee, Wis.

Dick was executive vice president and president of FirstEnergy Utilities from 2008 until his retirement in 2010. During that time, he led several business units, including Energy Delivery, Customer Service and FERC Compliance. He joined FirstEnergy in 2004 as executive vice president and chief operating officer after nearly 34 years with Wisconsin Energy Corp.

Dick was father of the late Nicholas, the late Nicole and Stephanie (Jonathan) Taylor; brother of Carolyn (Eric) Craig; former husband to Sylviane Grigg and husband to the late Joanne. He is survived by Joanne’s children and grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
