Outdoor Fun During Day of Action

​FirstEnergy volunteers took advantage of the great outdoors during their United Way Day of Action events.

These Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) employees assisted with various projects at Camp Nejeda in Stillwater, N.J. The camp enhances the lives of children with type 1 diabetes and their families through education, empowerment, camaraderie, supportive programs and fun.

A few JCP&L employees spent their Day of Action at the Quail Hill Scout Reservation in Manalapan Township, N.J. They assisted with clearing trails and performing electrical work in the new pavilion.

West Penn Power employees from State College, Pa., volunteered at the annual Centre County United Way event. The team worked at the Centre Wildlife Care facility where they cleaned, winterized and organized items. They also made friends with wildlife rescue animals.
