From landscaping and stocking food pantries to assisting the elderly and disabled, our employees went all out for this year’s United Way Day of Action/Day of Caring events.

Volunteers were in full force at various locations for the United Way of Youngstown and Mahoning County’s Day of Caring. Ohio Edison’s 37 volunteers cleaned sidewalks, removed trash, cut trees and shrubs, installed fire alarms and more. Here are a few of the volunteers taking time out for a photo.

West Penn Power employees volunteered at the South Greensburg Recreation Building in Greensburg, Pa. The group painted the entire outside of the building and all the picnic tables; removed a pond and replaced it with landscaping; and cleaned up scrap metal and other clutter inside the building.
