For the second year in a row, Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) participated in the Male Minority Initiative at Brookdale Community College (BCC) in Lincroft, N.J. This conference hosts high school students throughout Monmouth County, as well as current Brookdale students.

The conference offers minority male students the opportunity to network with professionals from various careers. More than 300 students attended this year’s event.

Representing JCP&L and the Power Systems Institute (PSI) program were PSI graduates Marc Turpin (substation) and Damien Jackson (lines). They provided hands-on activities for the students.

In addition, JCP&L representatives presented a $1,000 FirstEnergy Foundation check to BCC in support of the conference.
