Today the company announced that Michael Peters has been named as our Vice President, Talent Acquisition & Talent Management. Since May, he has served as interim Head of Talent Management at FirstEnergy. He will continue to report to Karen McClendon, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.

In this role, Michael will lead strategies to attract, develop and retain top talent, overseeing recruiting, succession planning and employee engagement. He will collaborate with senior leaders to align talent initiatives with business goals and drive continuous improvement in hiring and development practices.

Michael has more than 25 years of experience leading talent strategy and transformation for Fortune 500 companies and global consulting firms, including Deloitte, Comcast, Booz Allen Hamilton and Aramark.

Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
