Making a Difference in Mon Power Territory

November 25, 2020

External Affairs consultants safely participated in two important check presentations in Mon Power’s service territory.

Libby Durr, consultant, Regional External Affairs, presented a $2,500 FirstEnergy Foundation check to the West Virginia Botanical Garden. As the only botanical garden in the state, the facility offers children’s programs, walking trails, formal gardens and plants, camps, festivals and more – free of charge. Libby (r.) is shown with executive director Phil Smith.

Tim Pingley, consultant, Regional External Affairs (c.), presented a $3,000 FirstEnergy Foundation check to West Virginia University-Parkersburg. The funds will be used to support a month-long social justice art exhibit called apeaceofmymind.net, which focuses on our common humanity. Tim is shown with WVU-Parkersburg representatives.
