Employees of FirstEnergy’s Fleet Operations Mobile Maintenance group are used to hitting the road to ensure reliable energy throughout our territory. This month, workers headed out to ensure that less fortunate children in Fayette County, Pa. have a happy holiday.

Mobile Maintenance employees donated more than $1,200 for the purchase of new toys for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program..

“Children should never have to miss out on the joy of the holidays,” said Joe Hanna, Mobile Maintenance crew leader. “We know that 2020 has been hard on a lot of families. We’re in a position to help make for a happy Christmas for those less fortunate.”

Purchasing toys was a family effort, with Joe’s wife, Beth, pitching in to buy the bulk of the toys. “She jumped on the opportunity to help and had a great time,” said Joe. Some Mobile Maintenance members donated new toys, as well.

Crew members decorated one of the team’s trailers with holiday trappings and delivered the toys to the Toys for Tots Fayette County distribution location.
