Karen Kinslow Named Vice President of PA Operations

Karen Kinslow has been named Vice President of Pennsylvania Operations, effective July 28. She will report to John Hawkins, President, FirstEnergy Pennsylvania.
Karen will oversee the delivery of safe, reliable electricity to more than two million customers across the state. She will also be responsible for the operational strategy that delivers on an improved customer experience. Her appointment supports our ongoing efforts to bring decision-making and operational oversight closer to customers, regulators and employees at the local level.

About Karen Kinslow
Karen joins FirstEnergy with nearly 20 years of experience in the utility sector, most recently serving as Vice President of Distribution Operations at Dominion Energy Virginia. There, she led electric distribution for 2.7 million customers across two states, driving improvements in grid resiliency, customer service and operational efficiency. Her career has spanned roles in engineering, customer operations and strategic planning, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing today’s energy providers.
Earlier in her career, Karen worked as a consultant with UMS Group, advising utilities on performance improvement and asset management. She is also an active contributor to industry and community organizations, reflecting her commitment to service both inside and outside the company.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and management engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
