JCP&L recently hosted its annual Bring Your Child to Work Day. More than 100 JCP&L employees and 140 children participated in this enriching event, sponsored by the Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs) Mosaic New Jersey and Women in Leadership New Jersey.

Activity stations were set up in the Holmdel and Morristown offices, incorporating a range of interactive and educational experiences. These included a Diversity & Community Connections (DCC) booth, a craft table, an engaging introduction to the world of electrical utilities and smart meters, all explained from a child-friendly perspective featuring informative videos.

Additionally, children had the unique opportunity to tour two impressive service vehicles displayed in the parking lot: a forestry truck and a bucket truck, demonstrating essential equipment and operations of the utility industry.

The kids ranged in ages from K-2, grades 3-5, grades 6-8 and high school. The high school students volunteered and earned volunteer hours.
