JCP&L Employee Shares Job’s Challenges, Rewards

December 29, 2020

Art Crouse, a JCP&L express service technician, recently was the subject of a regular feature spotlighting transmission and distribution (T&D) utility workers in Utility Products magazine.

In the October/November 2020 issue, Art was interviewed about his career at JCP&L, the importance of working safely, the challenges and rewards of his job, and a memorable moment he experienced with a customer that lead to an unexpected, long-term friendship.

“It feels good to be recognized,” said Art, who works out of the Summit office. “I hope the article helps people see that while this is a demanding career, it has rewards, too.”

According to Abe Amawi, general manager, Regional Operations Services-East, the honor is well deserved. “Art is a great guy. He’s a hard worker, very safety-conscious and customer oriented, day in and day out. When it comes to troubleshooters, Art is the first one who comes to mind.”
