Toledo Edison’s Tony Reams was the gold level recipient at the FirstEnergy Hero Awards Program in mid-May. As part of the recognition, Tony received a $1,000 contribution from the FirstEnergy Foundation to a charity of his choice. He recently presented the donation to Lott Industries, a non-profit organization providing educational and vocational opportunities to people with developmental disabilities.

“I learned about Lott from someone very close to me and she explained all the good they’re doing to help people in the community,” Tony said. “I did a little research and was very impressed with what I found – and I just want to help.”

A credit representative, Tony received the top Hero award for coming to the assistance of an unconscious motorist.
