FirstEnergy’s Summer 2026 Co-Op and Intern Program officially kicked off in May with an in-person orientation at FEHQ. The program welcomed 50 students who will be contributing their skills and energy across several key areas of our organization, including Power Delivery, Construction and Design Services, Finance, Supply Chain and IT.

Throughout the summer, these students will gain valuable, hands-on experience by working alongside our industry professionals and contributing to meaningful projects that help power the communities we serve. Their work will play an important role in supporting our operations and advancing our mission.

In addition to real-world work experience, students will participate in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, volunteer initiatives and social events designed to support both their personal and professional growth.
