FirstEnergy Green Teams – Passion in Action

January 7, 2021

FirstEnergy Green Teams are driven by diverse employees who are passionate about responsible use of natural resources and advancing sustainability in our company and communities. Green initiatives like recycling, responsible replacement, waste reduction and electric vehicles are just some of the programs promoted by team members. Here are a few examples of the numerous opportunities our Green Teams have provided for employees to support through their VTO hours.

In October, this group volunteered at the Loyalhanna Watershed Wetland Planting event in Ligonier, Pa.

Another Green Teams event took place in November at Tomlinson State Park in New Cumberland, W.Va.

On Dec. 3, this enthusiastic group participated in a tree planting at Joy Park in Ohio, completing the goal of planting 1,000 trees in the Akron area during 2020.
