As the holiday season approaches, FirstEnergy employees have the perfect opportunity to give back to their communities by using their Volunteer Time Off (VTO).

By volunteering during the holidays, employees can spread joy and make a positive impact on those in need. Whether it’s serving meals at a local shelter, wrapping gifts for children, or donating time to a food bank, there are countless ways to make a difference this holiday season.

JCP&L employees from the Point Pleasant Line Shop demonstrated their commitment to their community by participating in a food drive to benefit a local food pantry. The pantry, located just around the corner from the line shop, serves families and individuals who are struggling to make ends meet and need assistance in putting food on the table.

They collected over 200 lbs. of non-perishable food items, including canned goods, pasta, rice and other staples before volunteering to deliver the items to St. Gregory’s food pantry.

By taking advantage of VTO, FirstEnergy employees can help create a brighter future for their communities while also enjoying the rewards of giving back.
