Filling a Need
October 6, 2021
Whenever possible, our employees are willing to help feed the hungry in the communities we serve.
Employees from Met-Ed’s Customer Accounts group volunteered at Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank by filling emergency food boxes. Helping Harvest collects, purchases, stores and distributes more than 7 million pounds of food annually to the more than 320 programs which feed the hungry in Berks and Schuylkill counties.
A group of Mon Power Forestry employees volunteered at the Mountaineer Food Bank in Gassaway, W.Va., where they prepared 537 boxes of food. This is the fourth year the group has volunteered there.
