Filling a Need

Whenever possibl​e, our employees are willing to help feed the hungry in the communities we serve.

Employees from Met-Ed’s Customer Accounts group volunteered at Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank by filling emergency food boxes. Helping Harvest collects, purchases, stores and distributes more than 7 million pounds of food annually to the more than 320 programs which feed the hungry in Berks and Schuylkill counties.

Members of the Customer Account group who volunteered for the event are (l.-r.): Chris Ciccone, Angela Berkis, Tonya Cruz, Stephanie Gentile, Pollyanne Bonning, Don Smith Jr. and Marnell McCarthy.

A group of Mon Power Forestry employees volunteered at the Mountaineer Food Bank in Gassaway, W.Va., where they prepared 537 boxes of food. This is the fourth year the group has volunteered there.
