Fellowship, Fundraising and More

December 26, 2018

Our employees are all about supporting worthy causes. Here are a few examples.

The FirstEnergy Foundation sponsored the Homeless Solutions’ Annual Women’s Day fundraising event at the Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, N.J. The event featured yoga, Pilates, circuit training, a power walk, 5K run and nine holes of golf. A group of FirstEnergy/Met-Ed Reading employees – led by Guy Ryno, coordinator, Customer Care, Reading Contact Center – participated in a “Walk for Animals” event to raise funds for Humane Pennsylvania-Berks County. More than 20 employees brought along their pets, and the FirstEnergy Foundation supported the “FirstEnergy Team Woof Gang” efforts with a $2,000 grant.

Twenty Mon Power employees raised $1,400 by participating in the Harrison County Heart Walk at the Bridgeport Recreation Complex. Overall, the event raised $108,113.
