The Davis-Besse Employee Association sponsored a Family Fishing Derby at one of the plant ponds on the morning of Saturday, May 12. The turnout was good, despite a cloudy sky. Fortunately, the rain held off until later in the day.

Employees’ children, grandchildren and even a few neighbor kids tagged along for the annual event. Prizes were awarded for the biggest, smallest and most fish caught. Bait and barbless hooks were provided for the catch and release tournament.

A hot dog lunch was served where many more fish tales were told.

This youngster won a rod and reel combo that’s just her size.
