Customer Shout-Out: Potomac Edison

We recently received the following letter of appreciation from a Potomac Edison customer expressing her thanks to two West Virginia Operations employees – Kenneth Nails, Lead Line Worker, and Parker Wilson, Line Worker B – who went the extra mile to restore her service following severe weather.

Early in the morning, two trees fell onto power lines near my home. The downed wires ignited a fire at the base of a utility pole across from my driveway, destroying the underground wiring which services my house.

After an initial assessment, Mr. Nails and Mr. Wilson explained that given the widespread power outages and the fact that I am the only resident on the street with underground wiring, they were not able to restore my power when they restored it to my neighbors.

I was very scared at the prospect of being without power for an undetermined time period. However, later in the day, Mr. Nails and Mr. Wilson returned to take care of my power. I wanted to cry from the joy in my heart at that moment. They had my power restored that evening.

It is important that you are made aware of the efforts and end result of Mr. Nails and Mr. Wilson on that cold and wet day. Not once did either of these gentlemen make me feel inconsequential. I knew I was important to them and was appreciative of the time and effort they made to alleviate my worry. They are outstanding examples of the type of people every business hopes to employ, and Potomac Edison is fortunate to employ these gentlemen.

There were additional crew members responsible for restoring my power – please pass along my sincere appreciation to them, as well.

There are no words that can adequately describe my gratitude to Mr. Nails and Mr. Wilson. They are examples of the genuinely good people in this world who are willing to help others in need. Potomac Edison benefits from having them take care of their customers.
