Creating a Boo-tastic Experience

A group of FirstEnergy employees volunteered Oct. 3 to help Akron Zoo set up for its popular Halloween-themed event, Boo at the Zoo.

Over the course of four hours, our volunteers coordinated with zoo staff to unpack, organize and set up decorations across the entire zoo, designing and decorating each area to align with the Halloween season.

This year’s Boo at the Zoo* runs for three consecutive weekends, through Oct. 27, and features themed areas, trick-or-treating and special activities with options for visitors of all abilities*.
