Even though he didn’t serve as a Boy Scout, Ron Morano lives the scouting motto, Be Prepared. In his role as senior communications representative and media spokesperson for Jersey Central Power & Light, Ron is always prepared with key information on the company’s side of the story. He is one of six recipients of the Morris County Boy Scouts of America’s Lifetime Achievement Award chosen for “outstanding community service, as evidenced by the interest and leadership given to many worthwhile organizations, as well as the respect and esteem in which they are held by their colleagues.”

Ron also exemplifies the scouting slogan, Do a Good Turn Daily. In addition to his role at JCP&L, Ron serves as an adjunct instructor of communications at Bergen Community College and a graduate of Morris County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Morris Program. Ron also is a member of the Employment Horizons Community Advisory Board, the Cornerstone Family Services Corporate Leadership Council and the Saint Francis of Assisi Church Parish Council.

Ron said, “I am humbled to join my fellow honorees in being recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Boy Scouts have helped build future leaders for more than 100 years and provide the foundation for our youth to serve their communities and country.”
