Engineers Week is here (Feb. 20-26) and we want to recognize all the engineers who are working hard to build a brighter future for FirstEnergy.

Whether it’s implementing new technologies, ways of working smarter or being dedicated to tasks that make our business run better for both customers and employees – there’s often an engineer behind it.

And FirstEnergy engineers not only make a difference at work – they also help support and sustain educational programs in our local communities promoting careers in engineering and other STEM areas that are critical to the success of the next generation.

There’s no disputing that engineers make a difference. That’s why The National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) declared an entire week of celebration be held in recognition of those who found their calling in this impactful professional field.

This year, NSPE pays tribute to engineers for the new possibilities they create all the time, with the theme “Reimagining the Possible!”

If you know some FirstEnergy engineers who embody this mindset, be sure to thank them this week for their contributions to our company.
