20 Years and Counting!
January 28, 2026
FirstEnergy recently celebrated a big milestone – 20 years of our Rotational Engineering (ROE) Program! On Dec. 9, we honored 24 talented engineers who completed the program during a graduation ceremony at our headquarters.
Kimberly Wechter, ROE Co-Op Program Lead, and Dewayne Edwards, Manager of Transmission Design, presented each graduate with a crystal plaque to recognize their hard work and accomplishments.
Chief Operating Officer Toby Thomas and Transmission President Mark Mroczynski also joined the celebration. They congratulated the graduates, encouraged them to seize new opportunities and shared their excitement about the future – especially as FirstEnergy takes on Transmission projects that haven’t been done in decades.
Employees who completed the program have now started their permanent role assignments within the company. Congratulations to the 2025 ROE graduating class on their final assignment placements:

What is the ROE Program?
Paired to the unique needs of FirstEnergy’s Transmission, Construction and Design Services and Distribution groups, the ROE program is a win-win for our company and participants. The program offers excellent networking and professional development opportunities to help early-talent engineers kickstart their careers, learn about different areas of our business and connect with peers and leadership.
