Employees in the Substation group at JCP&L’s Hopatcong Service Center recently celebrated two safety achievements:

• 18 years without an OSHA-recordable incident;
• 12 years without a chargeable motor vehicle accident.

“Hopatcong Substation employees have shown a real commitment to safe work practices – in the field and behind the wheel of a company vehicle,” says Dennis Pavagadhi, director, Operations Support. “It was great getting together with members of this group to celebrate their dedicated efforts.”

The group’s 15 employees were recognized for their safety excellence at a luncheon event on Feb. 8. Bargaining-unit employees at JCP&L are represented by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1289.
