Safety Excellence at Easton

Easton Service Center
October 29, 2019
Eighty-five employees at Met-Ed’s Easton Service Center achieved one year without an OSHA-recordable incident. Members of the group received the President’s Safety Excellence Award at a lunch celebration.
“There should be great satisfaction and comfort in knowing that everyone on the Easton team returned home safely to their family members and friends at the completion of each work day over the past year,” said Linda Moss, regional president, Met-Ed. “This is the type of commitment needed for sustaining a safety culture.”
Bargaining-unit employees at Easton are represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 777.

Bob Oddo, Utility Construction & Maintenance first class, accepts the President’s Safety Excellence Award from Linda Moss on behalf of Easton employees. Bob has more than 40 years of experience as a substation worker.
