Met-Ed employees at the Reading Service Center received the President’s Safety Excellence Award for working one year without an OSHA-recordable injury. Approximately 225 Met-Ed employees celebrated this accomplishment at a lunch event.

“I appreciate and respect what our employees at Reading have achieved by working safely for one year.  Their ability to demonstrate safe behaviors to reduce safety exposure has been key to their success.  I am proud of their achievement.” said Ed Shuttleworth, Met-Ed regional president.

Bargaining-unit employees at Reading are represented by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 777.
