Nine employees in the Bethel (Pa.) Meter Shop were recognized for achieving 20 years without an OSHA-recordable incident. The Bethel facility is part of FEU’s Distribution Support group.

Jordan Pineiro, supervisor, Meter Test, attributed the significant milestone to the safety commitment of each member of the group. “Every day we have a safety focus meeting to discuss potential hazards – on and off duty,” Jordan said. “While we might not work on power lines or substation equipment, we do face exposure to hazards – and recognizing and avoiding that exposure is key. Our goal is – and always will be – zero incidents.”

Lab Tester Second Class Mike Arnold has worked in the Bethel shop for the entire 20-year period. Mike said: “Folks here are like family – and family looks out for each other.”

Bargaining-unit employees in the Bethel group are represented by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 777.
