Mon Power recognized the safety milestones of employees at the following service centers:

• Morgantown – for achieving two years without an OSHA-recordable incident. Sixty-eight employees work out of the facility.
• Hinton – for working one year without an OSHA recordable. There are eight employees at the service center.

Holly Kauffman, president, West Virginia Operations, presented the President’s Safety Excellence Award to the Morgantown and Hinton groups at separate luncheon events.

“Employees at Morgantown and Hinton earned this award by focusing on the safeguards in place to avoid injuries – from following proper procedures to wearing the required personal protection equipment,” Holly says.

Bargaining-unit members at Morgantown are represented by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 2357. Union employees at Hinton belong to IBEW Local 50.
