Employees Support Neighbors in Need
April 21, 2026
Employees recently rolled up their sleeves at Lunch Break, supporting neighbors in need through hands-on volunteer service. Volunteers sorted and unpacked donated clothing for Clara’s Closet, ensuring items were organized and ready for guests, while others worked directly with clients in the food pantry, assisting them as they selected groceries in a client-choice setting.
The volunteer effort helped strengthen Lunch Break’s mission to serve individuals and families across Monmouth County and beyond. The nonprofit provides critical services, including a community kitchen, food pantry, housing assistance and youth and community programs, all designed to meet people where they are.
Clara’s Closet plays a key role in that mission. The welcoming space allows guests to browse and choose clothing at no cost, offering dignity along with practical support. Through their time and effort, employee volunteers helped create a positive, respectful experience for every guest served.
