Penelec recognized the safety efforts of employees in four project crews and in the DuBois District.

The company’s project crews focus on transmission line maintenance and improvements. Receiving the President’s Safety Excellence Award were:

  • Erie’s 12 crew members for surpassing two years without an OSHA recordable.
  • Mansfield and Altoona for one year of OSHA-free work. The Mansfield crew consists of nine employees, while the Altoona group has five members.

The four project crews celebrated their safety milestones at a combined lunch event.
